National Plastics Acquires Churchleys Builders Plastics Ltd
As part of their continued expansion, National Plastics are pleased to announce the acquisition today of three new depots in Worthing, Horsham and Chichester. Formerly operating as Churchleys Builders Plastics, these depots represent yet another bold step forward for a company which has seen unprecedented growth over the past few years.
Managing Director Geoff Foster said “The acquisition of these depots is a great opportunity for us to move into the South East, and we look forward to bringing our core values of superior quality products, great value prices and exemplary service levels to these areas. We have planned for major expansion in the coming years, and this acquisition represents the beginning of an exciting new chapter for National Plastics, allowing us to serve an even greater area.”

National Plastics Appoints New National Sales Manager
National Plastics is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Stone to National Sales Manager. The company, the largest independent trade counter network in the UK, has seen unprecedented growth in recent years, and shows no signs of slowing down, with new acquisitions, new products, and even more exciting plans in the pipeline.
Managing Director Geoff Foster said “Nick has been with National Plastics since 2007 and has played an integral role in the success of the business to date.
We had a number of very experienced applicants, all of whom had to go through an extremely rigorous interview process including external assessments. It was particularly pleasing that Nick’s experience, commitment to the business and the potential he brings, enabled us to identify the ideal candidate from within the business.”
Nick says, “I’m thrilled to have been selected for the role and very excited to work with an established team and drive sales forward across the entire business.”
Nick will join the senior management team in his new role from the 1st August 2014.

Ambitious Aquisition Strategy for National Plastics
National Plastics continues to drive forward with its ambitious expansion plans. Building on its significant growth over recent years the business is well placed to expand the depot network through a strategy of acquisitions and the opening of new greenfield sites.
To date two new acquisitons have taken place in 2014 with a further six planned as part of our corporate objectives to build the depot network to 50 over the short to medium term.

National Aquires Silplas Building Products Ltd
Our latest acquistion sees the completion of the purchase of Silplas Building Products Ltd in Worcester. This brings the number of National Plastics locations to 27.
Silplas are a well respected trade counter, established over 15 years ago. Already successful with brands such as Swish and Floplast, our exciting development plans include increasing the stock levels, increasing the range and also adding new products such as EPDM from Classicbond and Resitrix as well as a full range of decorative cladding from Freefoam and Dumaplas.

National Plastics Aquires Southern Trade Plastics (formerly Avon Plastics)
May saw National Plastics complete the acquisition of the assets and goodwill of Southern Trade Plastics in Christchurch.
Building from our depot success in Poole, this latest depot brings a new team to National Plastics. There was a clear gap in the local market and one that creates excellent opportunities for the local trade market.
